ChannelInsights (United Kingdom) is the data controller for British English with Di. Contact: dinara@channelinsights.ai.

What we store

• Account details: email address and display name.
• Your practice: chat messages, sentences you rephrase, quiz results and pronunciation scores.
• Voice recordings are sent for transcription and feedback; we keep the transcript and score, not the audio file.
• Basic technical data such as IP address and device type, for security.

Why, and legal basis

To create your account and provide practice and feedback (performance of our contract with you), and to keep the service secure (legitimate interests). We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for selling plans, managing subscriptions, payments, tax and invoices.
• Service providers for hosting and AI processing.
• Professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires.

Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and access is restricted to what's needed to run the service.

AI processing

Your messages and recordings are processed by AI models through our AI provider to generate Di's replies. They are not used to train public models.

How long

We keep your data for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your data is deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, export, restrict, object to or delete your data, and withdraw consent. Email dinara@channelinsights.ai and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

We only use storage that's essential to keep you signed in. No tracking or advertising cookies.
